No, since December 2021 a normal driving license allows you to tow trailers up to 3,500kg MAM.
It’s best to take training from a trailer / caravan driving instructor if you want to start driving a car and trailer.
How much is delivery?Any rental period of 3 months or more is delivered and collected free of charge, under 3 months there is a £150-250 each way charge depending on location
Do I have to pay a deposit?Yes all our catering trailers require a £500 deposit (£1000 for 12-month rentals) and which is fully refundable at the end of the hire period when the unit is returned as hired
Where can I trade?Anywhere you have permission, if you wish to trade on a public road or highway you will need a street traders license from your local council. If you trade on private grounds you need the landowners permission and any fees will be arranged between you and the landowner.
What area’s do you cover?We deliver and collect all over the mainland UK, delivery and collection charges apply, we can even set the unit up for you for a small fee
Can I purchase the trailer after the rental period?We would be pleased to offer you a purchase price discounted by your rental payments.
Is the mobile catering trailer insured whilst I hire it?Yes if we rent to you, Insurance is included. We will require the address of where the unit is stored overnight, we can then run a background check before proceeding with a rental
How do I pay?For rentals of 1 month or less full payment plus a £500 deposit is required, longer hire periods can be paid by standing order or direct debit.
What gas does the mobile catering trailer use?19kg Propane, we reccomend calor gas who can deliver on 0800 121 4461
How do I power the unit?All our burgervan hire and mobile catering trailer rental units come with a 16amp socket which can be connected to a generator or to a 13amp household plug using an adaptor.
